In 2015, fate brought Zach and Chris together. They were bartenders at the iconic Missoula Club, a living piece of local history. They immediately clicked. Becoming best friends over their shared love for skiing at Snowbowl in the winter and river surfing Brennan's wave on the Clark Fork in the summer.
They shared an entrepreneurial spirit. Zach and Chris entered the business world by trying their hand at a ski glove company. Thinking outside the box, they designed a unique line of ski gloves using all-natural products derived from honeybees. Despite the fun of crafting wax-covered leather gloves in their garages, Zach and Chris decided to change up their business plan. Perhaps their first business venture didn’t last. But, it sparked their determination to develop a sustainable business plan they could build on.
Chris had already been making waves in the real estate industry for five years when he convinced Zach to join him. Combining their passion and skills, they created GFG Real Estate. A full-service real estate agency in Missoula offering a range of services, including property buying, selling, and expert resources for investment properties. As of today, countless clients have achieved their real estate dreams by partnering with them.

CHRIS FUNSTON
Chris Funston was born in Juneau, Alaska, but grew up in the scenic town of Anaconda, MT. Growing up in a small town, he adopted the philosophy that no one should feel like a stranger and communities are meant to feel like family. Chris initially pursued his passion for football at the University of Montana Western. He later transferred to Missoula, graduating with a bachelor's degree in criminology.
Chris's career path has been diverse, to say the least. He has worked as a bartender, in the oil fields of North Dakota, and even registered exotic sports cars for celebrities. These varied experiences have enriched Chris's skill set and prepared him for a thriving career in real estate. He was eager to expand his already impressive foundation in real estate by teaming up with Zach to form GFG Real Estate. Chris's top priority is to ensure that GFG Real Estate always offers their clients unmatched skill and personal service you won't find anywhere else in town.
As a proud father of three, Chris balances his ability to deliver top-tier professionalism with being a family guy. ZACH GRATTON
Zach Gratton has a deep understanding of Montana living. He is a native of the charming city of Billings, MT, which brings hometown warmth to his real estate career. His journey led him to Missoula, where he played football for the University of Montana and earned a bachelor's degree in psychology. Zach's unwavering work ethic and team spirit, cultivated on the football field, naturally carried over into his professional career.
After a vibrant period bartending in Missoula, Zach was ready to embark on his long-term career. He was determined to find a role that allowed him to help others and build relationships in his community. When he teamed up with Chris to establish GFG Real Estate, he knew he had found his calling. His dedication and hard work were recognized when he earned the ERA Lambros Rookie of the Year award in 2020.
